Roof Replacement and Installation in San Antonio
A roof in South Texas does not fail gracefully. It bakes under months of direct UV, gets hit by hail in the spring, takes straight-line winds off the front of a thunderstorm, and then does it again the following year. The difference between a roof that lasts its full rated life and one that starts leaking in year nine is rarely the shingle in the brochure. It is the decking, the underlayment, the ventilation, the flashing details, and the crew installing it.
As an Owens Corning Preferred Contractor, we install complete roofing systems rather than a layer of shingles. That certification gives us access to warranty coverage and high-performance shingle technology that standard installers cannot offer, and it comes with a manufacturer's expectation about how the system is installed — which is exactly the accountability a homeowner wants. Premium Roofing San Antonio homeowners can rely on means the roof is engineered as one assembly: ventilation, water barriers, and shingles working together.
Not every roof needs replacing. If your roof is relatively young and the damage is confined to one area, a repair is the honest answer — see our roof repair services in San Antonio.

What's in a Complete Roofing System
Tear-off and deck inspection — every roof comes off to the deck so rotted or delaminated sheathing is found and replaced, not covered over.
Ice-and-water shield and synthetic underlayment — at valleys, penetrations, and eaves where water actually gets in.
Starter strip and hip-and-ridge — matched components, not cut-up field shingles.
Impact-resistant shingle options — Class 4 rated products engineered for hail country.
Attic ventilation — balanced intake and exhaust, sized to the attic volume, which is what protects shingle life and attic temperature in a Texas summer.
Flashing — step, counter, chimney, wall, and pipe boot flashing replaced rather than reused.
DragonScales solar roofing — solar-integrated roofing for homeowners who want energy production without a rack-mounted array.
Cleanup — magnetic nail sweep and full site cleanup, every day and at completion.
Warranty registration — manufacturer system warranty registered on your behalf.
Metal roofing — standing seam and metal panel systems, for homeowners who want a 40-plus year roof and the look that comes with it.
Gutters — seamless gutter and downspout installation, sized and pitched so the water your new roof sheds actually leaves the foundation alone.
Commercial roofing — we handle commercial buildings as well as homes, including flat and low-slope systems.

Our Premium Roofing Process in San Antonio
1. Free inspection. We get on the roof, document condition with photos, and tell you plainly whether you need a replacement, a repair, or nothing at all.
2. Insurance review, if applicable. If the damage is storm-related, we document it for your claim and can meet your adjuster on site. We handle claim work constantly, and knowing what an adjuster needs to see is half the battle.
3. Written proposal and material selection. Shingle line, color, and system components chosen in front of your actual house, not a showroom. Financing is available, including low-interest options and 90 days same-as-cash.
4. Scheduling and material delivery. Materials staged, permit pulled, crew scheduled.
5. Installation. Most residential roofs are a one- to two-day install. Landscaping and hardscape are protected, and the site is swept magnetically for nails.
6. Final inspection and warranty. We walk the completed roof, register the manufacturer warranty, and hand over documentation for your records and your insurance file. Our installation work is backed by a 2-year workmanship warranty on top of the manufacturer's system warranty.

Why San Antonio Roofs Wear Out Faster
San Antonio sits on the southern edge of what the insurance industry calls hail alley. Spring — roughly March through June — reliably produces severe thunderstorms across Bexar County and the Hill Country, and hail does not have to be golf-ball sized to shorten a roof's life. Pea- and dime-sized hail bruises the mat beneath the granules; the roof does not leak that week, but its remaining service life quietly drops. This is why an inspection after a storm matters even when the roof looks fine from the driveway.
Then there is the heat. Four-plus months of high-90s temperatures and intense UV drive attic temperatures well past what shingles are designed to sit against. Poor attic ventilation — undersized intake at the soffit is the usual culprit — cooks a roof from underneath and can cut years off it. When we quote a roof, we quote the ventilation with it, because replacing shingles over a badly ventilated attic just resets a clock that is running too fast.
Wind is the third factor. Straight-line winds ahead of a storm front will find any shingle whose seal strip never bonded, particularly on roofs installed during cool weather or in a hurry.

Premium Roofing in San Antonio: FAQs
How long does a roof last in San Antonio?
Typically shorter than the number printed on the package, because UV, heat, and hail exposure here are harder on a roof than the rating conditions assume. Impact-resistant shingles and properly balanced attic ventilation both extend service life meaningfully.
Do I need a full replacement or just a repair?
It depends on the age of the roof and whether the damage is localized. If the roof is relatively young and the damage is confined to one slope or one flashing detail, a repair is the honest answer — and we will tell you that. See our roof repair services.
Will my insurance cover a new roof?
If the damage is from a covered event like hail or wind, often yes. Coverage depends on your policy and the age and condition of the roof. We document damage thoroughly and can meet your adjuster at the property — our Disaster Restoration team handles claim work daily.
What is an Owens Corning Preferred Contractor?
It is a certification granted to a limited number of contractors who meet the manufacturer’s standards for credentials, insurance, and customer satisfaction. Practically, it means we can offer system warranty coverage that non-certified installers cannot.
How long does the installation take?
Most residential re-roofs are completed in one to two days, weather permitting.
Do you offer financing?
Yes — low-interest options including 90 days same-as-cash. Call (210) 504-5670 to get started.
What warranty comes with a new roof?
Two layers. Our installation is backed by a 2-year workmanship warranty, and because we are an Owens Corning Preferred Contractor we can register manufacturer system warranty coverage on the materials that non-certified installers cannot offer.
How much does a new roof cost in San Antonio?
Most roof replacements run $10,000 to $18,000 for a typical home in architectural asphalt shingle. Impact-resistant Class 4 systems add roughly $1,500 to $3,000. Larger or more complex roofs — steep pitch, multiple valleys, metal, or tile — run higher. You get a written estimate after the free inspection.
Do you install metal roofing?
Yes — standing seam and metal panel systems, alongside asphalt shingle and our DragonScales solar roofing.
Do you do gutters?
Yes. Seamless gutters and downspouts, sized and pitched to move water away from the foundation.
Do you work on commercial buildings?
Yes, including flat and low-slope commercial systems.
What areas do you serve?
We are headquartered in San Antonio and serve the surrounding communities, including Stone Oak, Alamo Heights, Boerne, Helotes, New Braunfels, Schertz, Fair Oaks Ranch, Bulverde, and Spring Branch.

Ivan was the estimator who came out to perform the survey of our house and write up the estimate. He arrived exactly at our appointment time and went over everything that I needed to have remodeled and repaired in our kitchen and bathroom.
From there, we met at their business to discuss the finer details of the estimate. We picked out flooring, cabinets, and countertops for the kitchen as well as discussed some of our additional options that were available. We received a written copy of the estimate for my wife and I to discuss over the weekend.
Afterwards, I was in regular contact with Ivan via email and text. He was extremely gracious in answering any questions I had and recommending the right services that I needed for our kitchen and bathroom.
I highly recommend this company to anyone who needs remodeling or renovations. Their professionalism and constant communication made the entire experience easy. Hopefully we can do business together again soon!

Thanks guys!
My son shared with me that he has used AR for quite a bit of major remodeling in his house and was quite pleased with them. I called them and Adam called the next morning. He promised that he would get a plumber to work on the shower. They showed up the next morning. They came up with the solution and promised to return the next morning after acquiring the needed parts, came the next morning and by mid afternoon, the shower was as good as new.
In the meantime, I had mentioned to Adam that our AC had failed. He volunteered to look into it. The next morning, Adam called with a quote and supplier who could get the equipment and have his crew our 1st thing the next morning. They showed up and by mid-afternoon, the house was comfortably cool.
Another thing I want to add, that everyone Adam sent to us, was courteous, knowledgeable and neat. Not only was the job done and done well, but the house was as clean and neat as it was before they came, (if not neater).
So in the time from initial contact with Adam on Tuesday to mid-afternoon on Friday, our house was back in tip-top shape. Our guests arrived on Sunday and we had a wonderful, cool, comfortable 3 days with them.
If I could give AR 6 or 10 stars instead of 5, I would.
