Bathroom Remodeling in San Antonio
A bathroom is the smallest room in the house and the least forgiving to build. Everything happens in a few feet: waterproofing, drainage, ventilation, electrical, tile layout, and glass — all stacked on top of each other, all hidden behind finishes once the job is done. When a bathroom remodel fails, it almost never fails at the tile. It fails at the pan, the slope, the membrane, or the fan.
That is where our bathroom remodeling in San Antonio starts. We build the parts you will never see to a standard that outlasts the parts you will. Our renovation work has been recognized by the Greater San Antonio Builders Association, and after more than 1,000 homes we have a firm point of view on what belongs behind a shower wall. Then we make it beautiful — heated floors, layered lighting, a walk-in rainfall shower, a double vanity with real storage.

What a Bathroom Renovation Includes
Design and layout — fixture placement, door swings, and clearances that meet code and feel generous rather than tight.
Waterproofing — properly built shower pans, bonded waterproofing membranes, and correct slope to drain.
Custom showers — curbless and walk-in designs, rainfall and body-spray systems, built-in niches and benches.
Freestanding and drop-in tubs — including the plumbing and framing changes a soaking tub actually requires.
Vanities and storage — double vanities, furniture-style pieces, drawer organization, medicine and linen cabinetry.
Countertops — quartz, marble, granite, and porcelain slab with undermount or integrated sinks.
Tile work — large-format porcelain, natural stone, and mosaic, set to a planned layout rather than field-improvised cuts.
Heated flooring — electric radiant systems under tile.
Frameless glass enclosures — measured and templated after tile, not before.
Lighting — sconces at the mirror for even, flattering light, plus recessed and accent layers on separate switching.
Ventilation — correctly sized exhaust fans ducted to the exterior, not into the attic.
Plumbing and electrical — relocated supply and drain lines, added circuits, GFCI protection.
Accessibility options — curbless entries, grab-bar blocking, comfort-height fixtures, and wider doorways for aging in place.
Permits, inspections, paint, and trim — start to finish.

Our Bathroom Remodeling Process in San Antonio
1. In-home consultation. We look at the existing bathroom, discuss what isn't working, and measure. Free, and there's no obligation.
2. Design and selections. Layout, tile, fixtures, glass, and lighting — chosen together, with renderings so you can see it before it's built.
3. Written proposal. Itemized scope and pricing, with low-interest financing available including 90 days same-as-cash.
4. Pre-construction. Permits, material ordering, and a schedule built around your household. If it's your only full bathroom, we plan the sequence to minimize the days you're without it.
5. Construction. Demo, rough-in, inspection, waterproofing, tile, fixtures, glass. Work areas are sealed and cleaned daily, and you follow progress through our customer portal.
6. Final walkthrough. Punch list closed out and documentation handed over. All of our work is backed by a 2-year workmanship warranty.

What San Antonio Bathrooms Deal With
Hard water. Water drawn from the Edwards Aquifer is high in dissolved minerals, and bathrooms take the brunt of it — spotted glass, scaled shower heads, and clouded finishes. It is a real factor in fixture selection. Certain finishes and glass treatments hold up dramatically better here than they do in softer-water markets, and we will steer you toward them.
Humidity and ventilation. San Antonio summers combine heat with real humidity. Undersized or improperly ducted bath fans are one of the most common defects we find in existing homes, and they are the root cause of most bathroom mold and peeling-paint problems. Every bathroom we build gets a correctly sized fan ducted all the way to the exterior.
Soil movement. The region's expansive clay soils move seasonally. In a bathroom, that movement is what cracks grout lines and shears tile. Proper substrate preparation, movement joints, and uncoupling membranes under large-format tile are how we keep a floor intact through the third dry summer, not just the first.
Older housing stock. Homes in Monte Vista, Olmos Park, Alamo Heights, and Terrell Hills often hide cast-iron drains, galvanized supply lines, or undersized venting behind the walls. We inspect for it up front and price it honestly rather than presenting it as a surprise change order halfway through.

Bathroom Remodeling in San Antonio: FAQs
How much does a bathroom remodel cost in San Antonio?
A powder room or a straightforward refresh generally starts around $12,000. A full bathroom renovation typically runs $18,000 to $40,000. A primary suite with a curbless shower, freestanding tub, and frameless glass runs $40,000 to $75,000 or more. You get an itemized written estimate after the walkthrough, so you know the real number for your project rather than an average.
How long will my bathroom be out of service?
Construction runs from 1 week to 6 weeks depending on scope — a refresh at the short end, a full primary suite at the long end. Design and selections come first and move at whatever pace you set, based on the time you can give to decisions during planning. The biggest schedule variables during construction are custom glass, which is templated after tile is set, and any plumbing relocation that requires inspection.
Is a curbless shower a good idea?
It is one of the most requested features we build, and it is excellent for both aesthetics and long-term accessibility. It does require the floor structure to accommodate the drain slope, which we confirm during the walkthrough.
Can you make a bathroom accessible for aging in place?
Yes. Curbless entries, blocking for grab bars, comfort-height toilets, wider door openings, and hand-held fixtures can all be built in without making the room look clinical.
Do you handle the permits?
Yes. Plumbing and electrical changes require permits and inspections, and we pull and schedule them.
Do you offer financing?
Yes — low-interest options including 90 days same-as-cash.
Do you warranty your work?
Yes. Every bathroom remodeling project in San Antonio we complete is backed by a 2-year workmanship warranty, on top of any manufacturer warranties covering the fixtures and materials you select.
What areas do you serve?
We are headquartered in San Antonio and serve the surrounding communities, including Stone Oak, Alamo Heights, Boerne, Helotes, New Braunfels, Schertz, Fair Oaks Ranch, Bulverde, and Spring Branch.
My bathroom was damaged by a leak. Can insurance cover this?
Often, yes. We handle insurance claim work regularly and can help document the damage and navigate the process — see our Disaster Restoration services. If the project is growing beyond one room, our Elegant Kitchens and Luxury Remodeling pages cover the rest.

Ivan was the estimator who came out to perform the survey of our house and write up the estimate. He arrived exactly at our appointment time and went over everything that I needed to have remodeled and repaired in our kitchen and bathroom.
From there, we met at their business to discuss the finer details of the estimate. We picked out flooring, cabinets, and countertops for the kitchen as well as discussed some of our additional options that were available. We received a written copy of the estimate for my wife and I to discuss over the weekend.
Afterwards, I was in regular contact with Ivan via email and text. He was extremely gracious in answering any questions I had and recommending the right services that I needed for our kitchen and bathroom.
I highly recommend this company to anyone who needs remodeling or renovations. Their professionalism and constant communication made the entire experience easy. Hopefully we can do business together again soon!

Thanks guys!
My son shared with me that he has used AR for quite a bit of major remodeling in his house and was quite pleased with them. I called them and Adam called the next morning. He promised that he would get a plumber to work on the shower. They showed up the next morning. They came up with the solution and promised to return the next morning after acquiring the needed parts, came the next morning and by mid afternoon, the shower was as good as new.
In the meantime, I had mentioned to Adam that our AC had failed. He volunteered to look into it. The next morning, Adam called with a quote and supplier who could get the equipment and have his crew our 1st thing the next morning. They showed up and by mid-afternoon, the house was comfortably cool.
Another thing I want to add, that everyone Adam sent to us, was courteous, knowledgeable and neat. Not only was the job done and done well, but the house was as clean and neat as it was before they came, (if not neater).
So in the time from initial contact with Adam on Tuesday to mid-afternoon on Friday, our house was back in tip-top shape. Our guests arrived on Sunday and we had a wonderful, cool, comfortable 3 days with them.
If I could give AR 6 or 10 stars instead of 5, I would.
